Classes + Workshops

We serve many segments of our diverse community with classes based on inventive curriculum and led by remarkable teaching artists.

Parent/Art Docent Workshops

Frye Educators provide training in facilitating inquiry-based discussions and leading student-centered art-making lessons, sharing best practices for building 21st century skills through close observation, open-ended discussion, and hands-on exploration.

Advanced level art students from the Atelier program at Gage Academy of Art create copies of paintings from the Frye Founding Collection in the Museum.

Path with Art: Studio Art Classes for Adults

The Frye Art Museum and Path with Art collaborate to offer weekly studio art classes for adults transitioning from homelessness and other challenges.

Mindfulness Meditation

Through the training and practice of mindfulness meditation we can apply present-moment awareness not only to experience art, but to all aspects of life.

All programs are funded by the Frye Foundation with the generous support of Frye Art Museum members and donors.
